Nothing beats seeing a tangible outcome of a piece of research. It also gives me something to explain to my children just what and why I do all day chatting to people about their life, what they buy, their mobile phone, their money, whatever really... It doesn't seem to be work as they know it from school and perhaps they are right but at least now I can point to a piece of advertising and show how it derives directly from those conversations onto a poster in Hammersmith tube station.
